has anyone done this yet
sick of seeing this grab, so lets communicate about it.
no, shows like korra, steven universe, she-ra, and the owl property didnt "lead" to caitvi. its not that they dont matter- they carry out. what they revolutionized was CHILDREN programming in terms of gay representation. interpretation, before, G rated media couldnt include characters explicitly same-sex attracted on screen, even doing the equal things straight couples were allowed to do in the same rating- uncomplicated mouth kisses, getting married, etc.
Arcane is NOT in the G rated category. it is not meant for children. there was lesbian/queer representation in R rated media before arcane, its just harder to discover animated projects with that rating, its only recently became more mainstream. just cause you guys only watch cartoons for children doesnt mean other media with lesbian rep didnt exist, and is probably more responsible to having gay rep at all in general media since the 90's.
Caitvi are not a part of your lil timeline thing, they wouldve existed even if G rated shows didnt allow for lesbians to embrace on screen. theyre in a other category. it's a show ba

Bertie moves into Tuca's apartment, but spends a lot of age alone as Tuca becomes more acquainted with Kara. Meanwhile, Speckle goes on a quest for a doorknob.
Tropes:
- Are You Sure You Want to Do That?: Bertie's phone outright asks her if she wants to send a very long voicemail to Tuca.
- Big "NO!": Speckle combines one with an Eye Pop when the bear who's been following him buys the doorknob he was looking at.
- Call-Back: Bertie discovers Tuca's cups behind the toilet, first revealed in "Bird Mechanics"... and pays particular attention to the one added at that episode's end, labeled, "Bertie is keeping me alone."
- Closet Key: Played for Laughs when a fancy female background bird discovers photocopies of Kara and Tuca making out and remarks, "Oh my word! I'm gay!"
- Creative Closing Credits: This episode ends on a Medium-Shift Gag where a live-action puppet of Bertie does some skateboard tricks.
- Flashback B-Plot: The episode alternates between the present time and a flashback to Bertie first meeting Speckle, drawing parallels to how the friends dealt with one of them dating.
- Foreshadowing: Kara claims her previous girlfriend "always played t

Created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and starring the voices of Will Arnett (as BoJack), Amy Sedaris (as Princess Caroline), Alison Brie (as Diane), and Aaron Paul (as Todd), the adult animated series BoJack Horseman (Netflix, 2014-2020) is perhaps most famous for kickstarting a rebirth of the individual animated series on streaming platforms. After BoJack Horseman came series such as Big Mouth (Netflix, 2017-present), Tuca and Bertie (Netflix, 2019), and Undone (Amazon, 2019). Nominated for three Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program and winner of four Critic’s Option Television Awards for Best Animated Series, BoJack Horseman was named “the leading animated series of all time” by IndieWire in 2018 (Miller 2018). The story of the washed-up nineties ABC sitcom luminary of Horsin’ Around, BoJack Horseman’s pivotal character is BoJack himself. He’s constantly faced
When Netflix dropped the trailer for its new mature person cartoon Tuca & Bertie in April, I was stoked. An animated sitcom about two birds in their 30s, voiced by Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong, navigating their complex personal and professional lives in the vein of a woke Sex and the City? Sign me up. Already an avid fan of BoJack Horseman, another Netflix animated series by the same imaginative mind, Lisa Hanawalt, my expectations were simple: a show that was playfulness, breezy and attuned to my sense of humour, informed by classic millennial cinema such as Clueless, Legally Blonde and The Princess Diaries.
I wasn’t displeased. Tuca & Bertie was as fun and enjoyable as you’d expect from a show that features all the wackiness of dead grandmother cakes, literal sex bugs and jaguars with chequing accounts. But that’s not all it was.
It was something special. The show’s impact on me formed through an intense emotional connection with the characters and an understanding of their circumstances, conflicts and aspirations — from Tuca’s fixed third-wheel status to Bertie’s misplaced career ambitions. At first, I didn’t quite
