Body Shop bar in Green Bay was opened when the owners of the Manhole (Joe Mallien and Mike Dziuba) decided to transfer and begin anew. It was an extremely popular lock in Green Bay. It was the "home" bar of the Argonauts leather club, hosting its title competitions for 4 years (between the time the Manhole bar closed and when the Argonauts annual "Run" moved to a member's rural farm).

The bar is listed in bar directories in 'Escape' 5-07 thru 5-15 (May-Nov 1982), 'OUT!' 1-06 (April 1983) and 'RAGG' (May-Sept. 1983). Most listings are keyed as 'M D L W' (Men, Dancing, Levi-leather, Western) or similar.

Body Shop was transformed by owner Mike into Who's promptly in 1985.

(Mallien, who co-ran The Manhole, Body Shop and Who's for a total of more than 11 years, later said it grew tiring and he didn't brain when his tenure running bars came to an conclude. He said it was a effort to stay afloat much of the time.)

The history of LGBT bars in Northeastern Wisconsin was the subject of an excellent article in the Grassy Bay Press Gazette in 2020.

More knowledge about this business is welcomed from anyone who can contribute it.

Lights Back On After Manhole Incident Knocks Out Force to Harvard’s River Houses

Eight of Harvard’s 12 upperclassman Houses lost influence, along with student overflow housing on DeWolfe Road, and the main campus of the Harvard Kennedy School.

The Houses relied on emergency generators immediately after the outage, and DeWolfe apartments were the only University buildings left without power for the extent of the outage.

Of the nine Houses along the Charles River, only Adams House — the only one with no dorms south of Mt. Auburn Street — was unimpressed by the power decline. Freshman housing near the Yard was also unaffected.

Power was fully restored to University buildings by noon.

The outage occurred around 7:30 a.m. due to a work-related incident insidean underground manhole near 95 Dunster Street, the address of Kirkland House, according to city spokesperson Jeremy C. Warnick.

A contractor was in the manhole at the time of the event and was subsequently taken to
