Where do gay people go in turks and caicos providenciales
Indulging In Turks And Caicos
Providenciales delivers the world’s most perfect beach, with ample splurging on the side…
By Doug Wallace
Drake’s private jet is taking up a huge parking spot at the Turks and Caicos airport, and the whole of Providenciales is aflutter. Apparently, he has rented a mansion on the south side of the island that once belonged to Prince, and he had dinner the other night at Indigo, its top restaurant, set within the Wymara Resort and Villas, where I’m checking in. Maybe he and I are destined to meet, over a snifter of something expensive, perhaps.
My rapper reverie evaporates with my first glimpse of Grace Bay just beyond the Wymara’s glistening pool, which is ringed with the afternoon crowd lazing away in private cabanas, pink bougainvillea petals drifting everywhere. This upscale Canadian-owned resort – my place for a few days – is on the quieter end of Grace Bay Beach, which is once again the winner of TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Option award for Best Beach in the world. My trunks are on and I am in the ocean in a flash.
I am more than just washing away winter, I am also hitting two big travel trends: privacy is the new luxury, and revenge t
A Conversation with a Resident about
Being Gay in the Turks & Caicos Islands
Intro
Eddi is a resident of Turks & Caicos Islands (TCI) who originally wrote to GlobalGayz inquiring about gay being in Bhutan, In the course of correspondence he revealed he lived in TCI. Since there is virtually nothing on the Internet about gay existence in TCI, we asked Eddie to share his insights about this unknown topic.
Eddi Writes For Himself
I should state that like 2/3 of the population here, I’m not originally from Turks & Caicos Islands. The Belonger population (full citizens) is the political majority and one of the larger groups here but compared to total foreigners Belongers are a demographic minority.
(Persons having “belonger” status contain those who are born in TCI having a parent who is a belonger, or born outside TCI having a parent and a grandparent who are belongers, and those who receive such status by grant from the Governor or through marriage to a belonger. Foreign nationals may also be granted Belongership by the Governor for outstanding economic or social contribution to the country.)

Providenciales Travel Guide
Friendly bottle-nosed dolphins greet visitors in the unbelievably clear and heated waters off Grace Bay on the beautiful island of Providenciales, where miles of sandy pale beaches are protected by a sound coral barrier reef. It's hardly surprising that this tropical wonderland has grow the most developed of the Turks and Caicos Islands, luring thousands of diving enthusiasts and holidaymakers intent on getting away from it all.
Although good equipped with tourist facilities, including an international airport, excellent hotels, a casino, a golf club and several tiny shopping malls, Providenciales remains largely unspoilt. The beaches stretch for miles and, on some of the little offshore cays, it's still possible for visitors to imagine they are Robinson Crusoe. But unlike the famous literary castaway, visitors to Providenciales (known usually as 'Provo') enjoy pleasurable pursuits with which to occupy themselves. Most find it difficult to tear themselves away from the beach, but with so many watersports on present it's hardly necessary to do so. Scuba diving, snorkelling, sea kayaking, parasailing, windsurfing, fishing and sailing ar
