You knew what you were getting into...

Come on...just by the title, anyone who watches this is going to realize what this is about. It's a ridiculous take-off on all the 80's/90's teen sex movies, yet set in a setting of gay teens (well, one actor was in his 30's, but we have to suspend our disbelief going into this thing, don't we?). I found it interesting enough to watch all the way through, but I can honestly say I didn't actually laugh once. The humor gets very base and scatological, so, you have to make ready for that. All in all it's brain-candy for...well, not sure who this is for.

Uproarous!!!

I was leery of the gay 'American Pie' references. I just didn't think it would make the cut. Guy, was I wrong! I attended with two unbent friends who are very open-minded. We laughed non-stop throughout the film. And we were not alone. The consistently tough-to-entertain West Hollywood crowd was guffawing along with us. Sure, much can be said about the raunchiness and some of the more contrived humor, but hey, it was funny. This is the kind of film that entertains. If o

Queer Empire: On the 40th Anniversary of “The Empire Strikes Back”

Rebecca Harrison examines the queer credentials of “The Empire Strikes Back” on its 40th anniversary.

A TRACKING SHOT dramatically closes in on a princess’s meet as she contemplates the likely deaths of her friends. On a gloomy and steamy position, a black-cloaked villain casts a handsome hero into stasis. In close-up, a knight hangs perilously over a precipice, tortured emotion etched on his confront as he learns that his mortal enemy is, in fact, his father … And if this isn’t enough to grab your attention, incest, death, romance, and the occasional dismemberment are thrown in for good measure too. It reads fancy the plot of a soap opera, a trashy homoerotic made-for-TV movie, or even, stripped of cinematic devices, a 19th-century theatrical melodrama. It is, of course, The Empire Strikes Back.

The sequel to the 1977 sensation Star Wars was released on May 21, 1980, and became a major box office success. Forty years later, Empire is the favorite of critics and fans alike, with the highest aggregate Spoiled Tomatoes score of any Star Wars picture. Yet help in 1980 its reception was mixed. Critics were disappoin

As ludicrously goofy as ANOTHER GAY MOVIE (2006), this follow-up once again combines colourful pastiche with vaguely serious themes. It's also a rare sequel that doesn't just remake the original. But it is pretty stupid.

Our four heroes--queeny Nico (Blechman), dorky slut Andy (Mosser) and happily coupled Griff and Jarod (Davies and Clabots)--are vacationing at an all-male resort in Ft Lauderdale that's holding a competition to see who can own the most se
